BBQ Guru DigiQ DX3
Entry level is the DigiQ DX3 powered by 240V mains electricity (no adapters) and delivering a no nonsense level of control.
The first thing that you notice about the DigiQ DX3 is that there is both a pit probe and a food probe. This gives you the option not only to determine your cooking temperature but also to monitor the core temperature of the meat that you are cooking.
The standard kit comes ready with the 10cfm pit viper which is great for most medium to large ceramics plus Weber Smokey Mountain / Pro Q bullet smokers.
There is the option to upgrade to the 25cfm pit bull fan and for the larger fireboxes you can even control to fans from the single control unit.
Setting and control is intuitive via the four push buttons to the front of the panel.
Other features include:
Ramp Mode - when turned on this feature uses the food probe to detect when your meat is almost at the desired temperature, it then shuts off the fan to ensure that your food doesn't overcook.
Open Lid Detection - Opening the lid on your smoker causes an immediate temperature drop. This feature detects that drop and holds the fan back from kicking in until the lid has been closed.

Blue Outer Ring:
Constant blue indicates that your pit temperature has not reached your target cooking temperature. When you first start your cook, the blue light is effectively indicating that your barbecue grill is in the preheating phase.
Alternatively, if you've been cooking for a while and you see the blue ring re-appear, it could be an indication that you may be running out of charcoal.
Red Outer Ring with Pulse Indicators:
When the outer light ring turns red and pulses on the sides, this means that the DynaQ is running exactly as expected with the variable flow fan precisely maintaining your cooking temperature.
When the entire outer light ring pulses red, this serves as a visual alarm so you'll know something has occurred and that it needs your attention.

How To Fix A BBQ Guru Adapter To A Ceramic Grill
There are two sizes of BBQ Guru adapter for use with ceramic grills:
- Junior - this fits the Monolith & Kamado Joe Juniors together with the Big Green Egg Small and Minimax.
- Universal adapter - this fits all the larger sizes including Classic, Le Chef, Big Joe, Primo and Big Green Egg large (and upwards)
Note: The Monolith Icon has the adapter and kill plug already fitted to the side of the grill.
Whichever ceramic grill you have, the process for inserting the adapter is the same and can be broken down into 4 easy steps...
Release the fixings on the bottom damper
In all cases the BBQ Guru adapter is fitted to the bottom damper. The adapter replaces the need for the cover slide - note that there's a rubber "kill plug" to shore up the adapter hole after your cook or if you don't want to use your Guru.
The first step is to remove the cover slide which is done my loosening off the two fixing screws on the right hand side of the damper.
Note. It looks just as easy to loosen off the left fixing screws but you can't remove the cover slide becasue there is small folded out bit of metal which acts as a cover stop.
Replace the cover slide with the BBQ Guru adapter
Remove the cover slide and insert the BBQ Guru adapter in its place.
The cover will slide out really easily and there's two point so note about inserting the adapter:
- The adapter in your kit will be a flat plate. The damper is rounded so you will need to bend the adapter plate prior to sliding it into the damper.
- The universal adapter for the larger Classic size (and upwards) has a vertical slide on it so that it can fit differing damper apertures. It makes the fitting of the adapter a little more fiddly but once in place it will remain.
Re-fit and secure the fixing screws
Not much to say here other than re-fit all that you removed at the start of the operation. The damper will bend back around the ceramic shell and this will also help to secure the BBQ Guru adapter in position.
That's it, all done. Referring to the picture above, just remove the kill plug and your BBQ Guru fan will fit snugly into the circular hole of the adapter. Now you're ready to cook!
Note: Spare kill plugs are available if required

BBQ Guru UK standard range is described above but to top everything off, BBQ Guru UK have teamed up Europe's No.1 ceramic grill brand Monolith and created the BBQ Guru Edition.
Now you don't have to worry about the right adapter to fit your grill, the powerful fan comes already integrated into your ceramic barbecue.
Included in your kit is a mounting plate to secure your controller to the bamboo side table. It's then up to you to decide whether you want to couple your BBQ Guru Edition Monolith (extra cost) to the DigiQ DX2 or the CyberQ CLOUD.

Select the size of Monolith (Classic or Le Chef) that best suits your needs and then chose which controller you want... DigiQ DX3 or Cyber Q CLOUD. The Monolith BBQ Guru Edition is only available in black and you can choose to have it in one of three formats:
